Serving the university community with enterprise-level IT solutions, Administrative Information Technology Services (AITS) provides enterprise-wide information technology services that enable the critical administrative business processes of the University of Illinois System. Our systems and services directly support the business operations necessary for teaching, learning, research, and outreach. Our services reach students, staff, faculty, and the state-wide community.

Our work supports the U of I System’s core HR, payroll, finance, student, and research administration functions. In addition, AITS works in partnership with university IT units to provide security as well as identity and access management. AITS works closely with university IT through the University of Illinois Information Technology Leadership Team (UI IT LT) and other strategic relationships. Through strategic planning and university-wide collaboration, our guiding principles focus on efforts to empower our university community in their daily work with systems and services that function seamlessly and responsively.
AITS delivers enterprise-wide IT solutions and services in support of the mission-critical functions of the U of I System. AITS supports student services, financial aid, human resources, payroll, and finance for over 130,000 students, staff, and faculty.
